📜 Detailed Day Trip Itinerary
🗺️
Your day begins with a very early pickup (around 4:00 AM) from your hotel in Marsa Alam
🚌. Settle in for the long but scenic drive northwards along the Nile
Valley towards Dendara (approx. 4-5 hours).
Your first stop is the magnificent Temple of Dendara, dedicated to the goddess Hathor 🏛️. Accompanied by your knowledgeable guide (speaking English, German,
Russian, Italian, Czech, or Polish), explore this exceptionally well-preserved temple complex, admiring its
stunning hypostyle hall, intricate hieroglyphics, and famous astronomical ceiling reliefs.
After immersing yourself in Dendara’s beauty, continue the journey south to Luxor (approx. 1-1.5 hours). Upon
arrival, enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant 🍽️ to refuel for the afternoon’s explorations.
The afternoon is dedicated to Luxor’s iconic landmarks. Cross over to the West Bank to visit the legendary
Valley of the Kings 👑, the burial place of New Kingdom
pharaohs. Your visit typically includes entry to several standard tombs (entry to special tombs like
Tutankhamun’s is extra).
Returning to the East Bank, explore the vast Karnak Temple complex 🏛️, one of the largest religious sites in the world, with its towering columns
and sacred lake. Finally, visit the elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully situated in the heart
of the modern city 🌙, particularly stunning as evening approaches.
Following a full day of discovery, begin the long return drive south back to Marsa Alam. Expect to arrive at
your hotel late in the evening (typically between 10:00 PM and midnight), concluding your memorable journey
through ancient Egypt.
